Our food pantry is nearly empty! Can you drop off some staples so we can share with needy families? Empty Tomb calls us about once a month, and we try to have enough groceries to help a family for a week. Good ideas are: peanut butter, jelly, pasta and sauces, cereal, juice, anything canned. THANK YOU!!!!!

Toddler Nursery
During the 11 AM service we need someone to watch the toddlers. If you are interested in this ministry talk to Pastor Derrick today. Until we have this ministry taken care of on a regular basis there is a sign-up sheet n the foyer.
Sermon CDs
Pastor Derrick’s messages are online at urbanafwc.com. However, if you would like a copy on CD, you may request one. Please fill out the card on the table in the foyer and we ask for a $2 donation to help offset the cost.
Our church is considering being a host site for Angel Food. Next Sunday at 10:30 we will have some of their food to sample and a vote by the congregation to decide if we want to take part in this outreach opportunity!
. . A Women’s Fund
In the Christmas season and tradition, the church will receive donations for A Woman's Fund, a woman's shelter in Urbana. Please have your donations to the church by Sun, Dec 7. The following items are being accepted: first aid supplies, unexpired OTC pain relievers (ibuprofen, tylenol, etc.), new socks and underwear for women and children, and baby supplies and diapers.
Roof Update
We currently have raised $3,670 for the parsonage roof, which is matched and makes $7,340! If we can raise $2,330 we will not have to take a loan out for the roof!
NCD Focus Groups
We will be having our focus groups to discuss our minimum factor of gift oriented ministry on Sunday Jan. 4 at 9:30 AM and 11 AM. On Sunday Jan. 11 we will have a focus group after the second service at noon. Everyone is invited!
